Find Santa (December 12th, 2005 - December 23, 2005)

With the new Christmas layout, a flash advert came up on the front page, saying that you had to find Santa before Christmas Eve.

You had to look for Santa Whuddle Pixel-Sprite on the site. He could appear anywhere... on the world map, in the forums, in the omnibus...
When you clicked on him, he gave you a Merry Christmas Stocking.

"Ho, ho ho! Happy Holidays! You managed to catch up with me I see!
I'm quite busy getting ready for Christmas - but I'm always glad to take a moment to say hello!
Oh, and before I forget, I have a special gift for you - it's a Merry Christmas Stocking! Be sure to hang this up by Christmas Eve so I can stop and leave a present for you on Christmas Morning!"

If you hung the Stocking, on the 25th you would find it filled with presents.

Inside the Stocking you would find a random gift and a cookie, and you could keep the empty Stocking too.

After Beta, all items but the Stocking were taken away from the users, and the hats and border were exchanged with a Santa Whuddle's Cap. The other two hats have been released again in 2006, while the Bells and Holly Holiday Background still hasn't been made available yet.

Trim the Tree (December 14th, 2005 - January 3rd, 2005)

While the "Find Santa" event was in progress, a Christmas tree appeared on the world map. You could click on it, and a popup would appear, showing a larger version of the tree. You had to choose an ornament and type a short holiday greeting, and your ornament would appear on the tree. You could mouseover the other ornaments to read the messages other whuddles left.

Holiday Trivia (December 21st, 2005 - December 23rd, 2005)

Lyrael posted in the "Holiday Fun" topic, asking the following question:
Who was the author of the traditional Christmas Carol - "Silent Night"?
(Answer: Joseph Mohr)
You had to send your answer through the contact form, and 10 lucky winners won a cookie and 100WBs.

New Year Contest (December 31st, 2005 - January 1st, 2006)

Lyrael posted again in the BBB Board to introduce this one. The aim of the contest was to write what New Year much meant to us, our hopes and goals for 2006. We had to post this in our Private Forums, then fill an entry form.
9 winners were later selected and won a random amount of WBs and some Christmas items.
